How The Advancement of Technology Can Be A Great Help To Us....

Technology has done a lot of things to all the people around the world. With all these advancement in technology life has been much more easier. Let's take Internet as an example. We can do many things via the Internet. We can chat, do a business transaction, e-learning, online shopping and many more. Everything is done using the technology from the cyberworld.

Yesterday, I was looking at my blog, hoping that I would be able to post something on my blog. It happened that one of the bloggers, Kin who visited my blog is currently in Ireland. I left her a message telling her about my ex-collegemate , who is also now in Ireland. She is following her husband who is pursuing his post- graduate there. I mentioned their names to her. To my surprise, on the same day, I received a message from Ain. She told me that she knows those people that I mentioned to Kin.

As a matter of fact, I don't really know both Kin and Ain. We just met in this world of bloggers! So, Ain informed me about the long - lost friends of mine that I haven't been in touch for quite sometime. More than 3 years I guess! What I want to say here is that with the advancement of technology that all of us are experiencing now , is REALLY GREAT. With just a friend who will link you to another friend of his or her will help us a lot in every way. The latest news that I got from Ain is that my friends, Aniza and her family are back in Malaysia for her brother's wedding. Hope that they will contact me and we will be able to meet very soon.

To Ain and Kin of thanks a lot! It all started from me to Kin, and then Kin to Ain and Ain to Aniza. This is what I really call REAL LINK !! What say you, Ain and Kin? Do you agree with me! Nice to know both of YOU!!

What A Tiring Day... today!!

Today I came back from work at 7.00pm. The time that is not my usual time to come home. I normally reach home by 5.00 or latest 6.00pm. But not today. I punched in at 7.20 and only got home at 7.00pm. Well, I had to cover for a colleague who was on emergency leave today.

The others in the department were busy with meetings and others; except for me and the other friend of mine. Tomorrow and the day after will be another long days for me. In fact, I'll be in the workplace until Saturday.

This Saturday I'll be having a workshop and at the same time has to attend a short course. What a day!!! And Sunday will be the only OFF DAY for me. Oh my God! I am not a superwoman, a wonderwoman. I am just an ordinary working woman ! A long way to go before my retirement! Unless I become a millionaire or even billionaire then only I can resign from my job.

Even for dinner, I just cooked fried bull's eye with black soya sauce (telur masak kicap). That's all for dinner. It's better that eating instant noodles, I guess. OK folks, I'm out of here now. Just need to rest and maybe I'll be off to bed earlier than my normal bedtime.
GOOD NITE EVERYBODY!

LET'S PONDER... ARE WE LIKE THAT TOO

PARADOX OF OUR TIMES

Today we have bigger house
And smaller families
More convenience, but less time
We have more degrees, but less common sense
More knowledge, but less judgement
We have experts, but more problems
More medicine, but less wellness
We spend too recklessly, Laugh too little
Drive too fast,Get to angry too quickly
Stay up too late, Watch tv too much
And pray too seldom
We multiplied our possessions, but reduce our values
We talk too much, love too little and lie too often
We learned how to make a living, but not a life
We added years to life, not life to years
We have taller buildings, but shorter tempers
Wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints
We spend more, but have less
We buy more, enjoy it less
We have been all the way to the moon and back
But have trouble crossing the street to meet our neighbours
We have conquered outer space
But not inner space
We have split the atom
But not our prejudice
We write more, learn less
Plan more but accomplish less
We have learn to rush, but not to wait
We have higher income, but lower morals
We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies
But have less communications
We are long on quantity
But less in quality
These are the time of fast foods
And slow digestion
Tall man and short character
More leisure and less fun
More kinds of foods
But less nutrition
Two income ?But more divorce
Fancier houses?But broken homes
That's why I propose, that as of today
We do not keep anything for special Occasion
because?Everyday we live Is a special occasion
Let tell our families and friends
How much we love them
Do not delay anything that adds laughter
And joy to our life
Everyday, every hour and every minutes is special
And we don't know if it will be our last
Don't wait to tell someone you love
And don't tell yourself that you will say it
l tell him/her one of these days
Believe me??One of these days
You/him/her may not be here to say or hear it

I WONDER WHY......??

Last night, I had a night out with family. We went out for dinner at our usual or shall I say our favourite hang out , Medan Selera at Presint 8, Putrajaya. We love the Western food there. It is the one and only stall that serves Western food. Lamb Chop, Chicken Chop, Fish and Chip, Garlic Bread and Mushroom Soup, Rib Eye Steak, Spaghetti Bolognese, just to name a few. Normally, that place would be full of crowds all the time. Either at the end of the month that is during the 'pay day' or just during the weekends, Saturday and Sunday night. But I was so surprised to see that the were no more crowds like before. Before this, that place could be considered as 'happening'. You can see people eating or just for take-away. Or just to hang out meeting friends, while sipping a glass of Fresh Orange or a glass of 'Teh tarik'.

I wonder why...??
Most of the stalls were closed. And very little crowd. Now, the stall operators are looking and waiting for customers to come. Not like before, when they had a lot of customers waiting for their orders to be served. And they themselves had to get extra hands just to meet the customers order.

I wonder why...??
Is it because of our economic situation now, that makes people think twice before eating out? It is just because they have to take into account the cost that they have to bear for eating out, such as petrol and the food bill?

I wonder why...??
Most of the shops are closed. May be they were not able to pay for the rent. There's a possibility that the rent has been increased due to the rise in the price of petrol.

I wonder why...??
When these are going to stop...? When the price of necessities will be controlled.....? When the promise that the price of petrol will not be increased in the near future.... Only those PEOPLE will have the answer to all my curiousity,
I WONDER WHY...??

Sneaking Into Girls Dormitory

Sneaking into girls dormitory?
On the first day of college, the Dean addressed the students, pointing out some of the rules: “The female dormitory will be out-of-bounds for all male students, and the male dormitory to the female students. Anybody caught breaking this rule will be fined RM20 the first time.” He continued, “Anybody caught breaking this rule the second time will be fined RM60. Being caught a third time will cost you a fine of RM120. Are there any questions?” At this point, a male student in the crowd inquired: “How much for a season pass?”

Cliff Holland's Poem

Cliff Holland’s Poem

So five graves, like long evening shadows are dug
and the five coffins wait in line, varnished and squared off, and the
firing party aims for the distance
and fires, and all are starched and suited and booted and buttoned up
Then ramrod straight, under the shade of a tree
the boy-bugler raises a golden horn to his lips
and calls to his dead friends with his living breath
And the tune never wavers or breaks, but now tears
roll from his eyes; perfect, as clear as pearls
tears which fall from his face and bloom on his ironed green shirt
like two stark wounds.
Then the world swims and drowns in everyone else’s eyes too

Poem by Simon Armitage
A tribute to soldiers killed in Malaya in the 1950s

* This poem was given to me by my late mother's old friend Mr. Allan John Quinnell who used to serve in Malaya with the British Army. A poem dedicaed to all the British soldiers who lost their life while serving in Malaya. May your soul rest in peace

Pengalaman Bersama Kepten Di Atas Kapal Mewah

Aah beruntungnya aku !

14 April:
Tanpa ku duga kapten mengajak ku makan malam dan...dia juga sempat memuji kecantikan ku...
Aku bangga.

15 April:
Dia mengajak ku makan malam lagi.

beserta seribu dua ratus penumpangnya.

17 April:
Pagi yang cerah .....
aku bangga kerana berjaya
menyelamatkan nyawa 1200 penumpang......
